About us

United Against Shitty Music (U.A.S.M.) was born in the context of the underground electronic scene as a manifesto of sonic and cultural resistance. The project came to life thanks to a collaboration with Rishpet, artist and creative, inspired by one of his famous phrases: “United Against Shitty People.” The genesis of the name and concept of U.A.S.M. was the result of a dialogue and direct collaboration with Rishpet. Any reference to the original phrase (“United Against Shitty People”) was made with his involvement and in full respect of his artistic vision. During events organized by Nowhere Emc/Kalakuta, the venues were decorated with prints and works by Rishpet, arousing strong interest and appreciation from the public.

This enthusiasm gave rise to the idea of transforming the message, adapting it to the musical context, and creating a new expression: “United Against Shitty Music.” Over time, this phrase became a true symbol, appearing in the graphics and visual communication of these events. Starting in November 2023, U.A.S.M. took a new direction, transforming itself into an independent organization while maintaining the same spirit and mission.

U.A.S.M. is not only an organization of musical and cultural events, but also a meeting point for realities and people who share a common vision: to create authentic gathering spaces and collaborate with other organizations and venues in the Neapolitan scene and beyond. Our identity is based on sharing, inclusivity, and the continuous search for new artistic experiences that can enrich the musical and cultural landscape.

United Against Shitty Music (U.A.S.M.) nasce nel contesto della scena elettronica underground come un manifesto di resistenza sonora e culturale. Il progetto prende vita grazie alla collaborazione con Rishpet, artista e creativo, ispirandosi a una sua celebre frase: “United Against Shitty People.” La genesi del nome e del concetto di U.A.S.M. è stata frutto di un dialogo e di una collaborazione diretta con Rishpet. Ogni riferimento alla frase originale (“United Against Shitty People”) è stato fatto con il suo coinvolgimento e nel pieno rispetto della sua visione artistica. Durante gli eventi organizzati da Nowhere Emc/Kalakuta, le location venivano arricchite con stampe e lavori di Rishpet, suscitando un forte interesse e apprezzamento da parte del pubblico.

Da questo entusiasmo è nata l’idea di trasformare il messaggio, adattandolo al contesto musicale, dando vita alla nuova espressione: “United Against Shitty Music.” Col tempo, questa frase è diventata un vero e proprio simbolo, comparendo anche nelle grafiche e nella comunicazione visiva di questi eventi. A partire da novembre 2023, U.A.S.M. ha preso una nuova direzione, trasformandosi in un’organizzazione indipendente, pur mantenendo lo stesso spirito e la stessa missione.

U.A.S.M. non è solo un’organizzazione di eventi musicali e culturali, ma un punto di incontro per realtà e persone che condividono una visione comune: creare spazi di aggregazione autentici e collaborare con altre organizzazioni e luoghi della scena napoletana e non solo. La nostra identità si basa sulla condivisione, sull’inclusività e sulla ricerca continua di nuove esperienze artistiche che possano arricchire il panorama musicale e culturale.
